About

My name is Masato Takahashi, and I'm a web developer with a background in project management.

Before becoming a web developer, I had many opportunities to work with web developers who were creating exciting new things which I had always admired. This inspired me to learn about the technologies that power web applications and coding, which eventually lead to my decision to change my career path and pursue being a web developer.

I completed an immersive coding bootcamp at Coding Dojo in San Jose, where I learned 3 full stacks including: Python, MEAN, and Ruby with over 1000 hours of coding experience. I have also gained working knowledge of many other frameworks and web development processes. Currently, my favorite technology is Ruby on Rails.

I look forward to learning new technologies and build more complex web applications!

FreeStuff is a web app that allows users to sign in and post stuff that they want to give away for free, and communicate with a messaging system. This app was built using Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and MaterializeCSS.

This project was to create a website for a local restaurant. This was a group project and was built using MEAN, Bootstrap, Google Maps API and Auth0. I mainly contributed to the front-end development with Angular 4 to set up the views and routes, as well as the style using Bootstrap focusing on reactive design.

Emailr allows users to send out surveys to their users and collect feedback. This app was built using MERN(MongoDB, ExpressJs, ReactJS, NodeJs). OAuth and PassportJs was used for user authentication, and emails are handled using the SendMail API. MaterializeCSS was used for styling.
